Catapult targets Humber Marine & Renewables members as offshore opportunities to be explored at networking event
Humber Marine & Renewables is joining forces with Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult to explore how members can better connect with the emerging innovation, technology, skills and development opportunities.
A valuable insight into the work in the wider offshore wind supply chain will be provided in the heart of the operations and maintenance centre of excellence – Port of Grimsby – at the next event – free to all who register to attend.
Creating Greater Opportunities Through Collaboration will outline what ORE Catapult does, the facilities and programmes available, and where there may be opportunities for businesses to engage, work together or access support.
Nicola Robinson, business development manager at ORE Catapult, said: “This event will provide an introduction to the organisation, the history of it, what we do, why and for who. We will look at locations, assets and industry programmes we facilitate, including F4OR, Launch Academy, CEWS, NeoWind, Wind Innovation Hub and OWGP.
“Attention will also turn to the emerging circular economy – decommissioning and life extension – as this is a new area developing due to the age of some wind assets. HM&R members might be able to work in areas not before thought of.
“Each attendee is unique, and this event will offer insight for each company as to how they can work with us, or how we can signpost to an organisation more suitable. We look forward to welcoming Humber Marine and Renewables members.”
The formal session will be followed by networking, providing an opportunity to continue conversations with ORE Catapult and fellow HM&R members.

It takes place on Thursday, October 15, from 9am to noon at the prominent Port Office building off Lockhill Roundabout, by the A180 and A16 entrance to the docks and town centre.
