History

Always industry-led, Humber Marine and Renewables is at the heart of regional business

Formed in 2022, Humber Marine and Renewables is the result of a merger between Team Humber Marine Alliance and Grimsby Renewables Partnership.

The former started out in 1995 as a small group of like-minded marine engineering companies working to create new business opportunities, improve skills and access new funding streams. It grew to become the Humber region’s foremost brand for marine, offshore and associated sectors. Grimsby Renewables Partnership was established more recently by a group of local companies which anticipated the arrival of the offshore wind market, and has since made a huge contribution to the development of offshore wind business for its membership and the area. Both organisations believed that a collective voice would attract new investment, opportunities in the supply chain for local business and help put the region in a global spotlight.

They officially merged in April 2022 at their flagship Offshore Wind Connections conference to create a new organisation with an even stronger voice.

Humber Marine and Renewables is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.

It has more than 200 members who benefit from the activities of the organisation and the collaborative platform it provides.
