Boston Energy further strengthens senior team with two significant appointments
Boston Energy, the East Yorkshire-based wind energy specialist, today announces two senior leadership appointments. David Matthews joined in the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer last month, and Michelle Williams was appointed Chief People Officer earlier in Q4.
These strategic hires underline Boston Energy’s commitment to scaling its services across the wind energy market and enhancing its position as a trusted partner to OEMs, wind farm developers, and operators.
David Matthews brings deep sector experience spanning technical, commercial and development functions within the wind industry. He has held senior roles with leading OEMs such as Vestas and GE, and with major players in the vessel sector including Clarksons and Fred Olsen. He will be central to identifying new market opportunities and shaping services that support Boston Energy’s expansion.
Michelle Williams, as Chief People Officer, leads people strategy and organisational development. She brings a strong track record of building high-performing teams and creating people-centric cultures that enable scaling businesses to flourish. Her background spans construction, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, direct sales, and automotive aftermarket sectors in both the UK and international markets.
Boston Energy CEO Julian Cattermole said: “These appointments reflect Boston Energy’s commitment to investing in leadership that will drive sustained excellent delivery for our customers. David and Michelle both bring exceptional expertise that aligns with our strategic priorities – expanding our offering and strengthening our people foundation.”
Boston Energy has more than a decade of experience delivering technical services and training to the wind energy industry, supporting offshore projects across Europe. The company’s client portfolio includes the world’s largest OEMs and wind farm operators.
As Boston Energy enters 2026, these senior appointments reinforce the business’s ambition to broaden its offerings, support workforce development and deliver outstanding performance for customers.
