Knapton Wright launches ‘KnapChat – People, Planet, Podcast’ – not just a video podcast, a space for real, honest conversations about the connection between sustainability and community
The planet, our people and their needs have never felt more important. KnapChat offers six regional voices the space to share their insights.
Leading creative marketing agency Knapton Wright is excited to announce the imminent launch of its first-ever video podcast series, KnapChat – a new space for unfiltered, inspiring conversations exploring the powerful intersection of sustainability, community, and curiosity.
Known for its human-first, purpose-driven approach to marketing, Knapton Wright’s mission has always been about more than beautiful campaigns and clever content. Launching next week, KnapChat, is taking the agency’s ‘marketing for those who put people and the planet first’ ethos beyond Knapton Wright’s creative studio in Caistor and directly to podcast fans across the UK and beyond.
Hosted by KW’s founder, Alex Wright, KnapChat, the next iteration of a blog interview series with the same title, which the team penned back in the day, brings together thought-provoking voices from across the region. Business leaders, grassroots organisers, social entrepreneurs, and more, Season One’s guests have been faced with one big, bold question: So what? What difference are we making, really? And how can we do better – for people and the planet?
“A non-negotiable part of our marketing approach – and life – is asking ‘so what?’” explains Alex. “This podcast is a way of pulling on threads that matter, having the kind of conversations that leave you thinking, and hopefully, acting. We want listeners to come away not just inspired, but challenged – in the best way.”
Season One of KnapChat – People, Planet, Podcast, features six fast-paced 30-minute episodes recorded at Hebb & Griff’s studio in Scunthorpe. Each episode spotlights guests who are working to make a tangible impact in their communities- whether through sustainable business models, local initiatives, or everyday actions that collectively drive change.
True to the KW ethos, this isn’t about preaching, it’s about progress, honesty, and a genuine belief that there is always a better way.
Through six episodes, Season one explores how local initiatives and forward-thinking ideas are reshaping industries like tourism, food, and community development, to show how these efforts really are contributing to a long-term change.
- Louise Wright, co-founder and director at Knapton Wright, partner at The Old Granary (located on her family’s potato farm) and owner of Fred & Emily jewellery, shares her insights into living and working with purpose across farming, business and craft.
- Dan Wheeler, Senior Destination Officer at Hull City Council, discusses how storytelling and collaboration are helping to reshape tourism in Hull and East Yorkshire.
- Derrick Denton, Director at UK Alternative Energy, brings insight into the realities and possibilities of renewables within Lincolnshire.
- Hannah Dale, Director at Wrendale Designs, educates us on how rewilding, creativity, and business can go hand in hand.
- Laura Stratford, Co-Ordinator at the Greater Lincolnshire Food Partnership, explores the organisation’s work and the power of people-led change in our food systems.
- And last but by no means least, Tyrone Curran, founding member of Scunthorpe Tomorrow, Founder of Good Coffee, and Hub Leader at Oasis Community Partnerships, who shares what it really means to invest in young people and build community from the ground up.
Listeners will be able to plug in to Season One this week via www.knaptonwright.co.uk/knapchat and are encouraged to share their thoughts, suggest guests, or even get involved in Season Two.
