Humber Marine & Renewables kicks-off Great Grimsby Day with latest networking event

GTFC’s Adam Smith with Humber Marine and Renewables’ stakeholder manager Dave Dawson at Blundell Park.

Great Grimsby Day was a celebration not to be missed for Humber Marine and Renewables, as members were welcomed to the home of the Mariners for a morning of networking and insight into the organisation’s latest advances.

Blundell Park was the venue for the latest gathering, with Grimsby Town’s chief operating officer Adam Smith welcoming HM&R to the club’s McMenemy’s Suite for some business over breakfast.

New members MGH Offshore, Alpha X and Bring Cargo introduced themselves, with HM&R stakeholder manager Dave Dawson providing an update on key workstreams, including the growing repository of data and market insight now available.

He also highlighted progress in collaboration with Spirit Advisory to deliver a new AI tool to the support offshore wind industry. Spirit Pathways is a Catapult-verified platform, described as a narrower and deeper alternative to Chat GPT or Co-Pilot when it comes to the sector.

Further updates will be delivered in due course.

A new HR and recruitment helpline for members, provided by member Humber HR People, was also previewed, ahead of its April launch.

Attention will now turn towards Offshore Wind Connections and Humber Renewables Awards, taking place later next month.
